Mr. Klemm is Senior Corporate Counsel, Privacy & Security, for Red Hat, Inc. where he provides legal counsel on global privacy and security matters.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Mr. Klemm held various high level in-house counsel roles with a number of prominent corporations, including Credit Suisse, SAS, AMP, Quantum Chemical and AT&T. He has worked extensively on global data privacy and protection issues, technology transactions, various “big data” analytics initiatives, cyber security and information governance, including associated compliance, regulatory, transactional, intellectual property, legislative, and policy related matters.

Mr. Klemm founded the Research Triangle Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and served as its first President; co-founded the Carolina Privacy Officials Network; and serves as the Advocacy Chair of the ACC’s Information Governance Committee. He has been a guest lecturer on Corporate Compliance at Elon University Law School and North Carolina Central University School of Law, and holds the designation of Certified Information Privacy Professional/US from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Mr. Klemm received an LL.M. from New York University and a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School, and is admitted to the bars of the States of New Jersey and North Carolina, as well as the District of Columbia.
